Alpha Boys Screenprinting Workshop
On Thursday February 22nd we met with representatives from the Alpha Boys School to talk about possibilities of future support from HELP Jamaica! for the legendary and history charged institution at South Camp Road in Downtown Kingston, Jamaica.
After a short tour through classrooms and the various workshops we sat down with Mrs. McGregor who is the head of the screenprinting workshop and also responsible for merchandise sales. HELP Jamaica! will be selling various t-shirt designs produced and printed by Alpha Boys School as a first step in supporting the screenprinting department who need to hire a qualified teacher to bring back training classes in screen printing to the students/youth and to bring new life into their own merchandise shop as well.
Alpha Boys t-shirts, polo-shirts and other fabrics will be very soon available at our own HELP Jamaica! Charity Online-Shop and also at our info booths at upcoming events and festivals in the summer. It is an honour for us to support this very important institution and we are sure this is just the beginning of a great colaboration and common effort in bringing back the screenprinting workshop to full swing!
